The Old Ultraviolet
A downloadable game
--
The Old Ultraviolet is a disco-dungeon crawler. A groovy, funky, and loot-o-riffic trip through the discotheque awaits you! As does a boatload of talkative NPCs!
(This is my first ever game; please be gentle!)

Throughout the turbulent 1970s, alt-music concert venue The Old Ultraviolet stood tall as a pillar of stability and community.
Famed for its unconventional bookings and similarly unconventional regulars, The Old Ultraviolet did more than just provide steady gigs to local acts destined to never so much as flirt with mainstream attention--it also served as a prime communal gathering place for purveyors of and partakers in outsider art. Despite its dilapidated interior and outdated exterior, it consistently brought people together, regardless of age, sexual persuasion, or fashion taste. It was a place where fans of garage rock bonded with fans of jazz fusion, and funk aficionados made lifelong friendships with punks and metalheads.
Now, with the 70s on the precipice of being usurped by the 80s, The Old Ultraviolet has been temporarily shut down for maintenance and redesign purposes.
It’s been a tough time for Ultraviolet regulars, though the prospect of returning to a new and improved version of their home away from home has kept their spirits up.
This is the story about a group of such Ultraviolet regulars. For the past six months, this group of unlikely friends has kept the spirit of The Old Ultraviolet alive via their Vinyl Club, their bi-monthly get-together in which they sit down, listen to, and discuss their favorite record at the moment.
Little do they know that the ownership of The Old Ultraviolet has been handed over to three shadowy CEOs, whose 1980s version of The Vinyl Club's beloved venue is about to kick them all to the curb in favor of...
Groovy…
Funky…
Disco.

hi. I played your game and can show my experience on a video. It was fun. The only issue I had was that it was difficult to read dialogues sometimes( I guess because the font is unusual to me.) Also, the save button did not work for some reason. It just made a sound and did not save anything. Anyway, I had fun, and love the concept.
